Come support O-Mei Wushu USA at the Orlando Fashion Square Mall on Saturday, May 31! We will have select students performing their best forms as part of the Asian Cultural Festival hosted by the Asian American Heritage Council of Central Florida. Then enjoy the rest of the festival!

Come celebrate the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month on Saturday, May 31 2014 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. atOrlando Fashion Square Mall – 3201 E Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32803
Free Admission. Enjoy cultural entertainment, arts & crafts and Asian Ethnic food featuring China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and more.
All proceeds will benefit the annual Asian Student Achievers’ Scholastic Awards.
AAHC of Central Florida is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and was established in 1980 to preserve Asian Heritage and Culture and to represent the interest of diverse Asian American ethnicities. http://aahc-cf.org

Achieving the next belt shows a commitment to improving yourself and your skills in the martial arts. You will be required to display now only what you have learned, but that you have made an effort to perfect it. Good luck to all who test!

In observance of the holiday season, O-Mei Wushu USA will be closed Thursday, December 24 to Saturday, December 27. Classes will resume Monday, December 29. We will then be closed on New Years Eve (December 31) to January 3 . Classes will resume on Monday, January 5. Please refer to our website calendar.

Mt Song Martial Arts has invited our school to compete in their 3rd Annual Toys for Tots Kung Fu – Tai Chi Challenge. This is a charity tournament so there is no fee for competitors, but they do ask they competitors bring one unwrapped toy for each division they compete in. This tournament is for a good cause and would be perfect for those looking to try their first tournament. If you are interested in competing, please fill out the registration form linked above the flyer. They do ask they competitors pre-register by sending their registration forms to:

Due to the higher demand for Tai Chi, we have decided to open two more Tai Chi classes Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:45 PM. If you want some more individual attention, please consider attended one or both of these classes!

Tai Chi – Tuesday, 10:00 AM
We are proud to announce that Tuesday morning Tai Chi classes are back! Increased class sizes and interest have allowed us to create more class offerings for those that prefer alternate class schedules. As class sizes and interest increase, we will also consider opening up Thursday morning Tai Chi classes as well. Stay tuned!

The International Chinese Martial Arts Championship (ICMAC) tournament is this weekend and we have a number of both Tai Chi and Wushu students competing! This means there will be no class Friday or Saturday (July 12-13). Come support your fellow students in their events! The forms part of the tournament starts at 8:00 AM on Saturday (7/13) and pretty much goes on all day.
The tournament is going to be held at the Gaylord Palms Resort (map) and spectator tickets are $25 for adults, and $15 for kids (12 and under). Hope to see you there!
